some of the things and experiences ive been apreciating this week are:

- the smell of hot glue
- cookies in the sunshine
- my beverage lineup
- Rolling Rock beer
- clover daisy chains
- stone fruit

The smell of hot glue reminds me of christmas time, because it has that smell of burnt dust that feels cozy and warm, like how in winter when you turn on the heater for the first time all of the dust bunnies get blasted around for the first time in many months. Cece has been using the hot glue for fashion stuff, which makes the apartment feel cozy, especially at night, even though winter just came and left and it’s May now. I’ve been peeling pieces of hot glue off the table and burning my fingers but the satisfaction is worth it. The cookie I’ve been enjoying this week is the trader joes cinnamon schoolbook cookies, because i get to spell things in it which makes me happy.

My beverage lineup has been nothing short of gluttonous, combined with my newfound liking for beer, specifically only the Rolling Rock kind. Its a 4% ABV that tastes like sparkling water if an apple and bread coughed into it. A man i had relations with for 2 weeks made me try it, and i was mad that I was some alt girl sitting in his bed admitting that i liked beer for the first time ever and that he was responsible for putting me on. I’ve consumed so many different kinds of non-waters, from the matchas emily makes me that i get to cut the entire line for at Jimmys and everyone hate stares at me, or the coconut lychee water that is worse than the coconut emulsion i prefer (its more milky). I have mango aloe vera drink in the fridge right now and that one is particularly yummy. The past few weeks I have been indulging too greatly in the Luvalle student store and the world of Yerba Mates, and found the orange to be my favorite. I get them with the excuse of making myself focus in class, but that doesn’t even do anything anways. its just a pleasant experience for my mouth.

The weather has been gloomy but now it’s wednesday and the sun is out so the week is looking up. The refineLA fashion show is this friday and everyone is very stressed. there are sparkles and unravelled thread all over apartment that grows in quantity and size as cece’s patience slowly unravellels. I had a lot of sensory experiences with nature that were unconfortable but also brought me satisfaction. Lauren and I made daisy chains for emily while she told us about her stye/pink eye issue on Tongva steps, and it felt good to tie the stems and get weird plant juice in my nails. I ate a stone fruit (peach) on the way to school a few days ago, and the fruit dripped all down my arm and onto my legs as I was walking, and the skin was tough so i had to try and eat around it, which annoyed me. I ended up with this sad fleshy pit left, covered in floppy fruit skin that was fuzzy. The fruit tasted good, but it was so fibrous and all of the little pieces got stuck in my teeths so bad. All in all it was an intense experience but it made it feel like summer even though the sky was so gray.
